Variety!

Last night’s dumpster-find.  This may be the most variety I’ve ever seen from a single dumpster.  Also, hauling this all home on two motorcycles was quite an adventure!

Variety!

Brocoli, cauliflower, garlic, laundry detergent, crackers, a dozen pineapples, tons of radishes, lettuce, beer, coffee, popsicles, hot sauce, strawberries, blueberries, orange juice, and mushrooms!  All from a single dumpster!

So far, lots of banana-orange-pineapple smoothies have come out of this.  Also, tonight’s meal was stir-fried broccoli, mushrooms, and cauliflower covered in a sauce made from some of the orange juice, pineapple, a cerrano pepper from a friend’s garden, a bulb of the garlic, and a bit of tamari and miso.  It was sweet/spicy and awesome.

Welcome!

This site will be collectively-written by several contributors.  The focus of this blog will be reclamation of the waste caused by capitalist society by taking discarded items and turning them into new and wonderful creations.– food, fashion, function, or otherwise.

So let’s get to it!
